Book Review

He’s her enemy…
…and she must not fall for him!
When her mistress is taken as an enemy Knight’s betrothed, handmaiden Aelfhild knows it would be too dangerous for her Lady – she must go in her place! But there’s more to the scarred Knight than she first thought…she isn’t expecting to fall for him! As the line between friend and enemy blurs, Aelfhild realises she might be protecting her mistress, but not her heart…

Of all the Medieval books I have read, this one has to be my favourite.  Just the cover alone is so hot, and don't get started on Gui and Aelfhild oh alright then I will.  Be warned gushing is about to commence.

Omg Gui wow what a man, he may be scarred, but that's what you get when fighting in battles.  But underneath the hard exterior, is the most caring man, considering the hardships he has suffered you wouldn't have thought he could be.

Aelfhild is the most amazing woman, she is strong, feisty and most of all loyal.  She is a companion to Lady Sigrun, who has been in hiding.  But that is all about to change.

I have two favourite scenes from the book.  The first is were Gui is bathing at the river and Aelfhild isn't aware that Gui is there,be warned that scene is hot...but not as hot as when Gui is teaching Aelfhild archery, wow that scene is scorching.

I could go on how fabulous this book is, so all I will say is this is a must read and comes highly recommended.

I would dearly love to give more than 5/5 stars, because this book so deserves more.

The book is on pre-order at Amazon UK and is released on 31st May.

I received the ARC from the author, in return for a honest review.
