Book Review

An irresistible royal seduction…
Daring Prince Nikolay Baklanov feels London is worlds away from his life of battle and revolution in Kuban. But then the Russian ambassador’s daughter, beautiful Klara Grigorieva, approaches him with her father’s dangerous proposition…
Since her mother’s death, Klara has complied with all her father’s wishes. She’s virtuous, polished – a Society lady through and through. But meeting dashing Prince Nikolay awakens a rebellious passion in Klara…a passion that only this man can satisfy!

This is the second book that I have read by Bronwyn and she is fast becoming my go to author.

This was a romance with added mystery, which made a refreshing change.  I won't be going into too much detail because they would a lot of spoilers.

What I will say is Nickolay is living in Britain with his three best friends Illarion, Ruslan and Stepan.  Nickolay is working at a elite riding school, with plans to open his own riding school when he found the right property.

I can here you thinking what is the mystery well, again not too much detail, Nickolay is in exile, this is because he was betrayed by a woman, and only his close friends know the reason why that is (or do they).

Klara is the ambassadors only daughter and has been brought up to expect to marry a Duke.  But Klara's father's asks her to spy on Nickolay, because her father wants Nickolay to be part of the Union of Salvation, who plot against Tsar Alexander.

So after a few meetings Nickolay is getting very close to Klara, but then at a dinner Nickolay feels he has been betrayed again, unaware that Klara is only doing this to save her father and Nickolay.

From here I can't reveal anymore, all I will say is this was a great read and I am so looking forward to the next book.

I will give this book 5/5 stars, at the moment the book is on pre-order and is released on 28 Dec at Amazon and all other retailers.

The next book is Innocent In The Princes Bed (Mills and Boon Historical) (Russian Royals of Kuban, Book 2), and is on pre-order and is released on 25 Jan 2018.

I received this book from Netgalley for Mills and Boon Insiders in return for a honest review.
