Book Review

A battle for power and passion
A skilled archer with the heart of a warrior, Gwendolyn of Alvey has proven herself capable of defending her homelands. But the threat of invasion and her father’s deathbed wish force her to do the unthinkable: wed Vidar, leader of the enemy.
Duty to form an alliance between two powerful clans binds Vidar to Gwendolyn, but desire tempts him to distraction. Her nature is to dominate, but he’s determined to seduce her into submission on the battlefield – and in the bedchamber…

My Review

This book was just amazing, don't you just love a strong, feisty woman, who is not afraid to use a crossbow and stand up too her husband.  But I did find that Gwendolyn had a vulnerable side, which she kept hidden and it was only in the privacy of her bedchamber, that you could see what was on her mind.

But don't be fooled into thinking that her husband Vidar is a push over, because he isn't and eventually he sees a different side to Gwendolyn.  There were a couple of moments in the book that made me chuckle, especially when Gwendolyn and Vidar were jealous at each other, but they just wouldn't admit their feelings for each other.

All I will say is this comes highly recommended and I give this book 5/5 stars.

This book can be bought from amazon.co.uk

I received this ARC from the author, in return for a honest review.
