I received this ARC from the author in return for a honest review.

Wow what a fantastic start to this new mini series called The Sommersby Brides.  This is were we following three sisters, these are:  Charlotte, Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Juliet.

Charlotte has a lovely kind heart, she is loyal, kind, and will always try and help her sisters.  But Charlotte has also suffered loss, when her husband died on the battle field, when fighting at Waterloo...but she also thinks that she will not marry again and she quite happy been a widow, living in Cheshire.  But that all changes when she meets Andrew.

Andrew works for his brother, doing secret work for the crown, and due to the nature of his work he has to keep this a secret.  But as with all secrets they do have a funny way of be revealed.

When Charlotte and Andrew meet, they find there is a instant attraction, and as we shall say one thing leads to another.   All I will say is I will never look at fireworks again without thinking of Charlotte and Andrew.

As you know if you have brother's and sister's sometimes that relationship can be tested, and you feel you have a loyalty to your sibling, but you heart is telling you the complete opposite.  This is the dilemma that Charlotte has to deal with.

For me I loved this book, and I'm so looking forward to book 2.

I will give this book 5/5 stars, the book is on pre order at Amazon UK and is released on 28th June.
