Master of None by Kate Pearce

When mill heiress Miss Emily Marsham agrees to a marriage born out of tragedy and hardheaded necessity, her hopes for future marital bliss aren’t high. Adam Blackthorn, the ambitious manager of one of her father’s mills is not what she expected in a husband. Can she make the best of her situation and be a dutiful wife, or will Adam challenge her to become something else entirely?

This is the 2nd instalment in the Millcastle series, you can read this book as a standalone...but I would recommend that you read book 1 first.

As ultimatums go Emily's father didn't give her much choice, either she marries Adam or her father will cut both Emily and her mother from his will, as you can gather Emily's father isn't a nice father, in fact he's horrible and so was her late brother.  So it was with some trepidation that she marries Adam and lets just say, a certain member of Adam's family doesn't make things easy for Emily.

Overall this was a great book, which kept me hooked mainly because I was cheering for Emily and Adam.

I give this book 5/5 stars. You can buy the book from Amazon UK and all other retailers.

I received this book from the author in return for a honest review all thoughts are my own.
